Studio Oil & Pastel Paintings.  Portrait painting has long been a passion of mine.  I am continuously working and studying to improve my skills in this genre, the Fine Art of Portraiture.

All of these paintings were painted on location "En Plein Air", a French term meaning "Out of doors."  The term became more associated with the French Impressionists in Paris during the late 1800s.  Today, it is more often meant to describe the act of painting outdoors.  Plein Air paintings are generally smaller, quick studies, and less refined.  But such a joy to paint.

A collection of Oil & Pastel Studio paintings. These works of art are much larger and more refined pieces.

Studio paintings in Oil & Pastel, painted from life.

Paintings of Colorful Sculpted Machines.

These are studies, drawings, and paintings.  The media may be oil, pastel, gouache, casein, charcoal, or graphite.
